Carlo Baldassarra, the longtime chairman and CEO of Toronto-based Greenpark Homes, has been honoured with the Building Industry and Land Development Association’s (BILD) Lifetime Achievement Award.
The veteran homebuilder received the honour at the 34th annual BILD Awards on April 25. The event, which celebrates achievements in the Canadian building and development industry, took place at the Paramount Conference & Event Venue in Vaughan, Ont.
“This honour from BILD is very humbling to me,” he said. “I never dreamed that my life would be filled with such accomplishments.”
Baldassarra came to Canada via Italy in 1958. He founded Greenpark less than 10 years later with partners Jack Wine and Philip Rechtsman. Over its nearly 40 years in business, the company has built and sold about 70,000 homes and condominiums across the Greater Toronto Area.
“Today, I look back on my career and I am so grateful for all the people I have worked with to achieve so many incredible milestones,” Baldassarra added. “I look forward to creating even more opportunities through Greenpark with my sons and my growing family of grandchildren.”
