The Tropical Forest Foundation (TFF) has elected seven new members to its board of directors.

“Each new member of the board of directors was carefully selected for his or her innovative thinking and ability to contribute to TFF’s ongoing efforts of encouraging sustainable forest management,” says Bob Johnston, executive director of TFF. “We look forward to utilizing their experiences and ideas to further enhance the practices and programs currently in place.”

The new members are:

• Sara Gutterman, co-founder and CEO of Green Builder Media
• Kerry Cesareo, managing director of the Forests of World Wildlife Fund
• Kenneth MacDicken, senior forestry officer/team leader at the Global Forest Resources Assessment of the Food & Agricultural Organization of the United Nations
• Hank Menke, Jr., president and CEO of OFS Brands, Inc.
• Lenny Shibley, president of Inter-Continental Hardwoods, LLC
• Erin Sills, professor and director of international programs at the Department of Forestry & Environmental Resources of North Carolina State University
• Kevin Thieneman, president of Caterpillar Forest Products

The new members’ term commences on Jan. 1, 2014.
