Property management firm Morguard was honoured with two gold awards at Canada’s Safest Employers Awards gala on Oct. 30, 2013. Morguard was recognized in the Retail and Services category, as well as the Wellness category.

The awards program recognizes organizations for achievements in workplace health and safety. Judges look at criteria in the areas of leadership and management support, employee engagement, communication, innovation and injury statistics.

“Our senior management team has taken a leadership role to ensure our Occupational Health and Safety programs extend across our eight regional offices, more than 400 owned and managed properties, and multiple development projects in Canada,” says Rai Sahi, chairman and CEO of the Morguard Corporation.

The Awards recognized employers from across Canada in 11 categories. This year, a total of 24 employers were recognized with gold or silver awards.
