Construction is underway at Omicron’s Eagle Creek Village in View Royal, B.C.

The mixed-use project, located on five separate legal parcels of land next to Victoria General Hospital, will cost $100 million and is one of the most significant developments in the town’s history.

Phase one of the development will comprise of 100,000 square feet of retail space, featuring 60 rental apartments above, and 76,000 square feet of offices. Commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield is handling the leasing of the office and retail spaces. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2015.

Major confirmed tenants include Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Quality Foods, Cobs Bread and Cascadia Liquor.

The second phase of the project will be residential. In addition, part of the approval allows for 3.9 acres of forested land to be donated to the town with a $1-million amenity contribution.
