Brookfield Asset Management Inc. has appointed Jay Cornforth as global head of industrial property business. Cornforth will join the Brookfield Property Group unit as a managing partner in New York.

“Brookfield has made a major commitment to the industrial sector and we are excited to have Jay, an experienced, proven industry veteran, join us to lead our growing industrial business,” says Ric Clark, CEO of the Brookfield Property Group.

Cornforth was previously with Prologis, where he was president of the east region. He was responsible for development, acquisitions and property operations of 85 million square feet of assets in Canada and the U.S.

Brookfield Asset Management is a global asset manager with more than $175 billion in assets under management.
