LEED Proven Provider designation launches

Thursday, September 4, 2014

The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) recently introduced LEED Proven Provider, a new designation established to restructure the LEED project review process.

The program, designed for organizations that demonstrate high-quality LEED project submissions, was established to reduce the need for additional work during the LEED project review process.

“One of the many things we’ve heard from customers is that the LEED review process can be complex,” says Doug Gatlin, vice president of program delivery for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and GBCI. “LEED Proven Provider rewards organizations that are submitting great LEED applications while speeding up the review process, which is a benefit that participants can pass along to their clients.”

LEED Proven Provider will also create an opportunity for participants and LEED reviewers to work together to enable direct engagement with project teams and enrich the LEED certification experience.

Participating organizations will have greater access to a LEED reviewer and recognition from USGBC for their consistent track record of first-rate submissions.

Organizations with a minimum of six certified projects in a single rating system family are eligible to apply.
