Ritchie Bros. Auctioneer appoints Beverley Briscoe as the new chair of the board. She takes over for Robert Murdoch, who announced his intention to step down from the board by the end of the year.

Her resume includes more than 10 years as director of Ritchie Bros, as well as deputy chair. She also has extensive industry experience in the transportation and industrial equipment sectors.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a director on the board of Goldcorp Inc., where she chairs the audit committee.

Briscoe is also a past chair at the Industry Training Authority for B.C. and the B.C. Forest Safety Council.
