According to the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB), a new luxury condominium with a unique, automated parking system will call Calgary’s Mission neighbourhood home in 2017. The 14-storey development, which will be known as The XII, will feature 10 suites spanning an entire level and two, two-level suites.

“Research led us to what we have today which is essentially 12 single-family homes that happen to be stacked on top of each other and we determined nothing like this existed in Calgary, just elsewhere like Vancouver, New York and other cities of equal stature to Calgary so we decided to provide that part of the opportunity,” says Stanley Yasin, managing partner for The XII.

In addition to the building’s automated parking system, which allows residents to conveniently access their vehicles via a unique, personalized code and elevator system, the development will feature:

  • Large storage spaces;
  • Smart appliances;
  • Full-time concierge service;
  • Digital video security surveillance;
  • Power failure emergency backup for critical building systems;
  • Large terraces;
  • High-speed residential elevator with smart individual access control system;
  • Individually-restricted floor access; and
  • Individually-controlled heating and air conditioning.

Suites will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and range, in price, from $2.95- to $5.8-million.

“The features come together to provide a building that is light years beyond anything currently available in the market and will be iconic for many years to come,” says Jeremy Sturgess, The XII architect. “The XII is a jewel of urban elegance and will be a legacy. Residents will be living in some of the best space in Canada.”
