Metro Vancouver has completed the tunnelling phase of the $450 million Annacis Water Supply Tunnel, which will complete in 2028.

The Second Narrows Water Supply Tunnel has substantially finished construction. The tunnel is expected to be fully in service by 2028.

COWI is nearing the end of its work as construction engineer on the massive $450 million Annacis Water Supply Tunnel project.

Metro Vancouver will begin construction on the Stanley Park Water Supply Tunnel, a major project that will replace aging infrastructure.

Metro Vancouver’s Second Narrows Water Supply Tunnel is the 2024 recipient of the Tunnelling Association of Canada’s Canadian Project of the Year.
