SkilledTradesBC is launching the Look West Workforce Readiness Initiative, a project-based funding program that will invest $40 million.

The B.C. government is celebrating Apprenticeship Recognition month as a record number of people have registered as apprentices.

According to SkilledTradesBC's annual report, there was a record number of apprentices last year in the province. 

The B.C. government has proclaimed November 2022 as Apprenticeship Recognition Month for the fourth year in a row.

New skilled trades certification in B.C. will be implemented in phases between 2022 and 2024 with the passing of the Skilled Trades BC Act.

New legislation to establish a made-in-B.C. system to support and train apprentices have been introduced in the legislature.
