The average price of new condominium apartments in stacked townhouses and mid- and high-rise buildings in the GTA reached a record $507,511 in January, says BILD.

National home sales increased 2.2 per cent from November to December 2016, according to statistics released by the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA).

Prices for all types of new homes continue to set records in the GTA as sales of new high-rise homes remain on pace for an exceptional year.

July 2016 saw the average price of a new low-rise home in the GTA exceed $900,000 for the first time, according to BILD.

According to the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, there were 3,226 home sales in the region in July 2016, a drop of 18.9 per cent year-over-year.
