Toronto’s short-term rental regulations are no longer in limbo after the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal dismissed operators' appeals on Monday.

Earlier this week, the Ontario government passed the Building Better Communities and Conserving Watersheds Act, 2017, legislation that will provide communities with a stronger voice in land-use planning.

In an effort to ensure Ontarians have access to faster and fairer hearings, the province plans to overhaul its land use planning appeals system.
