The Burnaby Hospital redevelopment has reached an important construction milestone with the structural building and concrete pouring completed.

A $4 million matching gift by philanthropists Beedie family is helping to launch the second phase of the Burnaby Hospital redevelopment project.

Construction has begun on the redevelopment of Burnaby Hospital. The redevelopment is expected to cost more than $1.3 billion.

Construction has started on the Burnaby Hospital campus with the removal of the Cascade building to prepare for redevelopment on the site.

EllisDon Infrastructure has been awarded the contract to undertake Phase 1 of B.C.’s Burnaby Hospital redevelopment.  

Three qualified teams have been shortlisted for the Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment Project. The successful proponent will be identified by mid-2021.

Burnaby Hospital will be undergoing a major $1.3 billion redevelopment. The project is one of B.C.'s largest-ever health care investments.
