Temco Service Industries acquired by Atalian

Temco Service Industries, Inc. has announced its acquisition by Atalian International, an international provider of facility services, on Jan. 8, 2016. In the merger, the existing Temco entity was the surviving corporation.

“In Europe and other countries outside the U.S., Atalian is a brand name in facilities management. We believe that teaming up with Atalian will enable us to better service our existing customer base and more effectively broaden and deepen that base,” said Henrik Thomassian, CEO of Temco, in a press release. “Atalian’s resources will enable us to develop more fully integrated facilities services offerings, provide us with a broader geographic footprint and afford us the benefit of larger economies of scale than we could have achieved independently.”

Temco, a New York-based provider of cleaning and associated services and security, operates in the United States as well as in the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands through its Temco-Euroclean subsidiaries. Temco, which had revenues of $375.5 million in the year ended Sept. 30, 2015, employs over 10,000 people worldwide and operates in 12 states: Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas.

Paris-based Atalian, a family-owned company that employs over 35,000 people with annual revenues of 1.33 billion euros, provides facility services to companies in 21 countries, but this merger is the firm’s first entry into the U.S. market. It provides services such as cleaning, multi-technical and facilities management, reception, security, landscaping, construction and energy management.
