The newest townhome community in Markham will be launching this spring. Park & Main is a development by Minto Communities, located near historic Main Street Unionville.
Eighty-one traditional townhomes, of 1,923 to 2,524 square feet will offer flex plans with up to six-bedroom options. The 38 back-to-back townhomes, ranging from 1,436 to 1,768 square feet, have three-bedroom options for all model types, including interior units.
Inside the West Coast and Tudor style exteriors, interior designs incorporate the principles of Feng Shui to promote physical and spiritual well-being.
Matt Brown, director of product development at Minto Communities, said the homes meet intergenerational needs so that Markham and Unionville evolve in a thoughtful way. “It was important for us to integrate the feedback we heard from Union Village and bring updated designs that reflect the needs of the community,” he said. “ “Minto homes are meant to be flexible and we have prioritized this in the design process. We want to ensure that units are designed efficiently while also meeting the changing needs of homeowners.”
Sustainable features and smart technologies include water-efficient fixtures, individual metering and a heat recovery ventilator system. Minto is also targeting ENERGY STAR certification. Residents will have direct access to trails and green space as the community will feature a municipally owned park. Ten minutes away the Bruce Creek connects to the Rouge River Valley.
