Matt McCarron has been named the new LEDVANCE vice president of industrial commercial channel in the U.S. and Canada. Mark Corcoran, who has retired after 34 years of dedicated service, previously held this role. Over the coming months, Corcoran will act as senior advisor for the trade channel.
McCarron has been with OSRAM SYLVANIA for over 20 years, where he had progressive roles, management responsibility and sales achievements. Most recently, McCarron was the company’s vice president of retail sales, and in this role, McCarron successfully grew this important channel.
“Even though we are happy that Mark Corcoran is starting a new chapter in his life after his long and distinguished career, his leadership and experience will be greatly missed,” said Erol Kirilmax, chief sales and marketing officer at the company, in a press release. “We are fortunate to have a succession plan in place with Matt McCarron taking over this vital part of our business. Matt and mark have worked together for several years, and given Matt’s knowledge of the business, the move made perfect sense.”
“The lighting industry, like our company, is transforming. I’ve met with many customers since taking over and have enjoyed discussing our strategic direction and their thoughts on how we work together in the future,” added McCarron. “Despite all the changes internally, I see these as largely transparent to our North American customers who can continue to count on our focus on service, quality and most importantly the SYLVANIA brand.”
