The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has announced its inaugural Top Global FM Influencers list, recognizing 36 professionals shaping the future of facility management through innovation, leadership and measurable impact.
This year, the honourees include two Canada-based professionals. They include Lorri Rowlandson, senior vice-president of strategy and innovation at BGIS and Katerina Karasyova, senior accounts manager and head of partnerships at Freespace.
Representing six continents and 13 countries, the list was curated to highlight those making a significant mark on the built environment — advancing sustainable operations, integrating emerging technologies, enhancing workplace experiences, and prioritizing safe, resilient and people-centred spaces.
“These influencers connect cultures, spark trends and inspire change across borders,” said Christa Dodoo, CFM, FMP, CIWFM, CMQ/OE, Chair of the IFMA Global Board of Directors. “Through their platforms, they share ideas, stories and innovations that affect millions, fostering global wellbeing via the built environment. Their ability to transcend language and geography amplifies FM’s role in ensuring facilities are safe, secure, resilient and efficient.”
As part of the association’s year-long recognition of its 45 years of uniting facility professionals worldwide, IFMA is unveiling the list ahead of the World Workplace Conference and Expo taking place from September 17 to 19.
