Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and IIDEXCanada have announced the winners of the 2015 Innovation Awards program. This year, the two organizations selected 30 innovative products to receive awards, including four Gold, 15 Silver, 11 Bronze and one Best in Show.
The Innovation Awards celebrate design and architecture’s leading manufacturers and suppliers and recognize outstanding achievement in new product design for the built environment.
“Today’s products need to be competitive on many levels,” said award judge Michele Gunn in a press release. “The products awarded are not only well-designed, they stand out as sustainable, accessible and have the users’ well-being in mind. They are certain to succeed in the marketplace.”
Eight judges within the fields of interior design and architecture determined the winning projects based on their technical creativity, marketability and design ingenuity. The projects were judged during the IIDEXCanada trade show, Canada’s largest exposition and conference for the design, construction and management of the built environment, held Dec. 2 to 4 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
