Wednesday, August 12, 2015

Edmonton-based Henday Industrial Park has signed Brock White Canada Company (Brock White) as its first major tenant.

Brock White, a leading supplier of construction materials in western Canada, will start leasing 112,130 square feet of space in Building 2 of the industrial park, beginning spring 2016.

The targeted LEED certified space will be used as a complete mechanical fabrication facility. It will also house offices for the company’s 47 employees and a new showroom featuring architectural finishes and design products for the public and general contractors. Brock White will also occupy 3.5 acres in an adjacent outside storage yard for the company’s growing inventory.

“We are excited about this new facility and about our continued expansion across western Canada,” said David Reburn, Alberta Regional Manager of Brock White Canada Company. “This new location will centralize two of our larger operations in Edmonton, which will ultimately result in great efficiency and an overall better experience for our customers and suppliers.”

The Park is being developed through a joint venture between Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Walton Group of Companies (Walton) and WAM Development Group.

“The Park provides an optimal location for Brock White and future tenants seeking larger spaces for distribution, fabrication, light manufacturing and warehouse use,” added Bill Bird, senior vice-president of industrial at WAM. “This agreement also demonstrates the continued strength of industrial leasing in the Edmonton marketplace.”
