Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust (Cominar) has appointed Heather Kirk as executive vice-president and chief financial officer effective Dec. 31, 2018.

She brings 20 years of experience in real estate, capital markets, investment banking, and equity research. In her most recent position, Kirk was the managing director equity research at BMO Capital Markets leading the Canadian Real Estate Equity Research team. She also served as a Trustee of Cominar since May 2018 and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Minto Apartments Real Estate Investment Trust. Kirk will be resigning as a trustee of the REIT upon her commencement date.

Kirk has a bachelor of commerce from Concordia University and is a CFA Charterholder.
