The natural setting of Lake Country, British Columbia, inspired the architecture of what will become the first condo project in the Lakestone community, located in the Okanagan Valley.
Zara at Lakestone is a new resort-style development that promises the lifestyle of a five-star resort coupled with the comforts of home. The collection of just 86 one, two and three bedroom lock-and-leave residences includes six luxury two-storey penthouses, with panoramic lake, forest and mountain views, and oversized covered balconies that offer year-round indoor and outdoor living. Zara will also be exempt from B.C.’s speculation and vacancy tax.
Mirroring the mountains that frame Okanagan Lake, Zara’s architecture features an extensive application of stone, timber and glass that builds a lasting connection to the natural landscape.
“Zara is the only condominium project in Lakestone and will offer residents a resort lifestyle
with an extensive range of wellness-centric building amenities including an infinity pool, hot tub, fire pits, fitness centre, sauna, event space and retail shops including a future restaurant,”
comments Amir Haque, principal at Dominium Inc., developer of the project. “The homes we have designed are spacious and have all the features to be a permanent residence including kitchens with large islands for entertaining and signature wine bars, large walk-in closets, dens for remote working, and expansive covered decks.”
Lakestone was recently awarded the 2020 Community Development of the Year by the Canadian Homebuilders’ Association.
“When we chose this location for Zara two years ago, we were excited by Lakestone’s extensive amenities and the short drive to the international airport, upscale wineries and restaurants” states Haque. “Many people from out of town are currently looking to buy a vacation property or move permanently to the Okanagan Valley right now. We feel that Zara will be a great choice for these buyers given it’s out of the speculation tax zone and in one of the most desirable communities in the country.”
