BOMA Québec champions real estate innovators

Quebec’s cleverest young innovators of real estate services — as chosen by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Québec — will be among the exhibitors at the upcoming 25th annual BOMEX®, BOMA Canada conference and exposition. The three companies emerged from BOMA Québec‘s inaugural Real Estate’s Cleverest contest, devised in cooperation with L’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) Ivanhoé Cambridge Chair in Real Estate.

Earlier this year, contestants were invited to outline their products’ innovative qualities and usefulness to the real estate industry via an online portal. Nine finalists were then chosen to make five-minute pitches to a BOMA Québec gathering, including judges: Caroline Lambert, Redbourne Properties; Jean-Guy Bernard, Group Altus; and Guy Lamarre, Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Web-based technology is a building block for the three winners — Potloc, Regis 360 and Axsimo — also in keeping this year’s BOMEX® theme: History Forms; Technology Transforms. Delegates will have a chance to meet with the clever real estate innovators at the BOMEX® trade show at the Quebec City Convention Centre, September 16th.

“The goal of the contest is to offer a unique showcase for the next generation of real estate entrepreneurs,” the organizers of Real Estate’s Cleverest contest explain. “For BOMA Québec, it is also an opportunity to reiterate the association’s commitment to young professionals.”
