Pippa Beck, policy analyst, Non-Smokers’ Rights Association says Canadians are in the midst of a “social norm change” and explains why the demand for smoke-free buildings is on the upswing. Condo owners can now make a business case for smoke-free living.

Bob Aaron, real estate lawyer, Aaron & Aaron Barristers and Solicitors advocates for no smoking policies and says all occupants or owners have the right to be free of nuisance.

  1. A by-Law requires 51% to change. Then after you referred evicting people for breach of a rule. Can you ban smoking by rule and therefore only need the board to pass it?
