Construction of the facility began last June under the direction of PCL Constructors Canada Inc. The project is slated for completion by spring 2015.
The six-storey building, which will accommodate more than 2,200 students, will include:
- Group and independent study spaces
- A new library with a centralized hub for student services
- A student gallery and showcase
- Space for the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and college administration
The facility is designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification.
