Windsor Coca-Cola distribution centre opens

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

Coca-Cola recently opened a new distribution centre in Windsor, Ont., and signed a 10-year lease. The facility, which employs 15 associates, serves communities in the Windsor, Wheatley, Leamington and Essex regions.

The new facility, which operates five days per week, began operations in February 2014. In addition to providing Windsor and its surrounding communities with Coca-Cola products, the investment in the distribution centre has allowed for the creation of new jobs.

“Coca-Cola is pleased to be creating jobs and investment in Windsor at our new distribution centre. We are a global company, but we know our strength comes from the communities we serve,” says John Guarino, president of Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada.  “We are looking forward to continuing to support the Windsor community in the years ahead.”

And according to Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Employment Eric Hoskins, Coca-Cola’s investment signals a vote of confidence in not only Ontario’s food and beverage sector, but also in Windsor as an important hub within the province.
