Thursday, June 26, 2014

Rick Shaban of Borden Ladner Gervais (BLG) has been appointed president of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers, taking over from Derek A. Brindle.

“Rick’s appointment to President of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers is well deserved given his personal long-standing commitment to the College and his outstanding leadership in the area of construction and infrastructure law,” says BLG’s national managing partner and CEO Sean Weir.

Shaban is a senior partner of BLG’s construction and engineering group whose areas of expertise include construction, procurement and surety law (i.e. infrastructure renewal, project delivery methods and dispute resolution).

“It will be an honour to work with my colleagues at the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers during the next year as we continue to advance the objectives of the College,” Shaban says.
