Movie theatre chain Landmark Cinemas, which operates the second largest theatre circuit in Canada, has appointment Neil Campbell as president and CEO.

“Neil is a strong industry and company leader and the absolute right person to be leading our organization through Landmark Cinemas’ next phase of strategic growth,” says former president Brian McIntosh, who now leads the company’s board. “This important move will also allow me to continue my focus on future opportunities.”

As Landmark’s chief operating officer, Campbell has been with the company for nearly 15 years. He also worked as a managing director with Sony Pictures between 1998 and 2001.

“I am honoured to move my duties from Chief Operating Officer to President and Chief Executive Officer during such a dynamic time for Landmark Cinemas Canada,” says Campbell.“ It is very exciting to be able to add key people like Bill Walker and Paul Wigginton to our executive leadership team.”
