Karl Lagerfeld, a German designer, artist and photographer based out of Paris, France, has partnered with CD Capital Developments and Freed Developments to design two lobbies in the new Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos mixed-use development in Toronto, Ont. The condominium will be the first project in North America to involve Lagerfeld’s influential and creative direction.

“We have always sought to find ways to partner in our developments with some of the great design minds of our generation, and share their style,” says Peter Freed, President of Freed Developments. “’We look forward to sharing Karl Lagerfeld’s distinctively ultramodern, highly structured style for the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos and believe that his premier Canadian condominium design will create spaces that will be valued by our residents, treasured by our City, and appreciated by the world.”

Lagerfeld, who is recognized globally for his work in the fashion world, is looking forward to expanding his range of creative expression with this project, his first major Canadian market venture.

The Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos will consist of a 28-storey tower and a 12-storey mid-rise development featuring studio, one and two-bedroom units. It will be located at 2131 Yonge St.
