The Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) has announced the recipients for the Urban Leadership Awards ahead of the annual event.
Jack Diamond of Diamond Schmitt Architects will be presented with the Jane Jacobs Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes an individual “whose vision and passion for cities has had a profound impact on several aspects of urban health over many years.”
The Urban Leadership Awards celebrates individuals who are affecting urban regions across Canada in a positive way. New to the awards this year is a panel moderated by Corporate Knights president Toby Heaps, featuring the award recipients.
Other recipients include Ryerson University president Sheldon Levy, developer Steve Kulakowsky of Core Urban Inc. and Guelph Mayor Karen Farbridge.
Honourees will receive their awards on June 25 at Toronto’s Berkeley Church.
