Energy Efficiency Hall of Fame inductees named

Johnson Controls’ Betty Arndt, U.S. senator Jeanne Shaheen and American Council for an Energy-efficient Economy (ACEEE) director Steve Nadel are among the seven leaders who will be inducted into the Energy Efficiency Forum Hall of Fame. The award honours individuals who have made an impact on global energy efficiency.

“While the last three decades have seen major advances in efficiency, there is still much work to be done,” says Nadel. “ACEEE looks forward to continuing to help our partners mine the energy efficiency resource to create a stronger economy and cleaner environment for the nation.”

Below is the complete list of 2014 inductees to the Energy Efficiency Forum Hall of Fame:

  • Betty Arndt, vice president of communications, Johnson Controls (retired)
  • Jeff Bingaman, Senator from New Mexico (retired)
  • Ray Mabus, Secretary of the U.S. Navy
  • Gina McCarthy, EPA administrator
  • Steven Nadel, executive director, American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy
  • Maria Tikoff Vargas, Director, Better Buildings Challenge and Senior Program Advisor, U.S. DOE
  • Jeanne Shaheen, Senator from New Hampshire
