ASHRAE signs air quality alliance

ASHRAE, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) are among the organizations to sign a new alliance in support of indoor air quality.

“The objective of the (IEQ Global Alliance) is to get the societies to think together, work together and speak with the same voice,” reads a statement from the group. “The alliance is formed as an interdisciplinary, international working group of societies interested in indoor air quality, thermal comfort, lighting and acoustic science, technology, and applications to stimulate activities that will help in a significant way to improve the actual, delivered indoor environmental quality in buildings.”

The alliance will focus specifically on providing information and guidelines related to indoor environmental air quality in buildings. Below is the complete list of partners:
